En Europa predomina\u00a0el tipo 1 mientras que en Am\u00e9rica y Asia el m\u00e1s prevalente es el tipo 2.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Actualmente, est\u00e1n clasificados como\u00a0dos especies v\u00edricas diferentes: PRRSV1 y PRRSV2.<\/strong> Dentro del PRRSV1 se han descrito al menos 4 subtipos. El subtipo I es el m\u00e1s predominante en\u00a0la Europa Occidental, mientras que los subtipos II, III y IV han sido aislados hasta la fecha solo\u00a0en pa\u00edses m\u00e1s al Este de Polonia. Respecto al PRRSV2 se han descrito dos clados.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]A pesar de todo ello, <strong>ambas especies se han diseminado por todo el mundo<\/strong>. As\u00ed, se pueden\u00a0encontrar en casi la totalidad de pa\u00edses productores de cerdos, a excepci\u00f3n de Australia, Nueva\u00a0Zelanda, Pa\u00edses Escandinavos, Suiza y algunos pa\u00edses de Am\u00e9rica del Sur.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]El virus del PRRS altamente virulento que surgi\u00f3 en China pertenece al PRRSV2. Este se disemin\u00f3\u00a0r\u00e1pidamente por Asia.
